Coastal Retreat

The complete renovation of this Stanley Bay home was a collaboration between architect Fraser Gillies of Lines Design, Chroma Interiors, Broswick Builders, and the clients. The original floor plan was reworked for a functional, flowing layout, adding a dedicated laundry, master ensuite, and generous master wardrobe.

This project showcases how a talented team, a clear design vision, and the clients’ style came together to create a beautiful home.

“Margaux came highly recommended to us when we started planning the renovation of our house back 2022. From our first consultation we found Margaux to be extremely knowledgeable and personable. She really took the time to listen and understand what we were hoping to achieve and our vision for the property.”

Chroma Interiors and the clients developed a coastal - inspired design scheme, drawing on the green and blue tones of the surrounding seascape. These colours were applied to traditional cabinetry and complemented with brass accents, creating a home that feels naturally connected to its setting.

“The planning and execution of our renovation ended up being a three and a half year long journey. Throughout that time Margaux was a positive and calming presence providing pragmatic advice and reassurance when the decision fatigue or uncertainty over a decision kicked in. With her collaborative manner, she formed a great working relationship with our builders and suppliers helping make it a relatively smooth renovation.

In terms of project management, Margaux was always ahead of the ball, following up with suppliers, making sure that everything needed was onsite before the builders needed it, and regularly making progress checks.”

We have now been back in our newly renovated home for a month and can honesty say that there is nothing we would change or have done differently. Margaux absolutely nailed our brief and created many gorgeous spaces - it’s hard to pick a favourite! It goes without saying that we absolutely recommend Margaux.
